A beautiful Anniversary
Last evening the growing Assumption Family in the Philippines gathered together to celebrate the 31st Anniversary of the Beatification of Bl. M. Eugenie at the Marie Eugenie Chapel of the RA-Emmaus Community in San Lorenzo
Last evening the growing Assumption Family in the Philippines composed of the Assumption Fathers, the Little Sisters of the Assumption and ourselves, the Religious of the Assumption and a few lay partners gathered together to celebrate the 31st Anniversary of the Beatification of Bl. M. Eugenie at the Marie Eugenie Chapel of the RA-Emmaus Community in San Lorenzo.

Superior General of the Assumption Fathers, Richard Lamoureux presided in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and spoke of our common vocation to become saints of today. There were about 50 of us in a truly fraternal gathering of our Assumption Family.

The AA, the latest addition to the Assumption Family who began their Foundation Community last January 25, shared with the group their vision / mission / strategies and activities. They shared that their first priority is to build community. Each of the 5 founding members : Bernard, Gilles, Jean Marie, Clem and Alex, had a chance to speak. Indeed there is a visible sign of commitment to their priority.
We have already had the opportunity to witness this during their House Blessing last February 2, before the arrival of Fr. Richard, where about 22 of us RA, 3 LSA and 2 friends of Clem came together for the first time.

Before the night was over, Fr. Richard also shared on their General Chapter 2005 priorities and answered some questions of the Sisters. We will meet again on Sunday, the 12th in the evening for supper before Fr. Richard leaves for his return flight early Monday morning.

Tomorroww, Feb. 11, Saturday, this time at the AA’s new residence at 141 B. Gonzalez St., Varsity Hills Subd., Loyola Heights, not too far from our Novitate, we will come together again for a Eucharistic Celebration to be presided by Fr. Richard at 11 a.m. followed by lunch.
Indeed the family is growing ! Join us in thanking God for the gift of the Assumption !
